By default, the first page you see when you open Chrome is the Google search box. However, you can change it to another website at any time or customize it at any time. How to change your homepage in Chrome

To change your homepage in Chrome, click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the browser window. Then navigate Settings> Appearance And activate Show Home Button desire. Finally, type a URL in the text box and click the Home button to see if it has changed.

To customize the New Tab page in Chrome, open a new tab and click Can be customized Button. Then, select the background. Shortcuts, Or Color and theme Change parts of the new tab page. Finally, click Done.

1. Open a new tab in the Chrome web browser.
2. And then click Can be customized. You will find this button in the lower right corner of the window. It may also appear as a pencil icon.
3. Next, select Background From the left sidebar. This option allows you to choose a new background image, a solid color or upload your own image.

   Note: If you choose to upload your own image, you can only use files with the .jpg, .jpeg, or .png file extension.

4. Then select Shortcuts. This option lets you change the shortcut icons on your new tab page or hide them completely.

   Note: If you choose My shortcutsYou can remove it by clicking on the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the shortcut or editing its name and URL.

5. Next, select Color and theme. This option allows you to change the color of your entire browser and the color of some websites.
6. Finally, click Done After changing the new tab page.

Unfortunately, Chrome does not allow you to change your new tab page to a specific URL in its settings. However, you can download an extension to achieve this. Here’s how:

To change the New Tab page in Chrome you need to download an extension like Custom New Tab URL from the Chrome Web Store. Then enable the extension and add the URL you want to use to your new tab page.

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Then go Custom New Tab URL Page in the Chrome Web Store.
3. Next, click Add to Chrome.
4. And then click Add extension.
5. Next, click the Extensions icon. This is the icon that appears like a puzzle piece to the right of your address bar.

   Note: If you do not see your extension, you can enable it by typing chrome: // extensions / in the address bar at the top of your browser window and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard.

6. Then click the three-dot icon next to the Custom New Tab URL extension and select it Options.
7. Next, check the next box Enabled.
8. Then enter a URL. Be sure to enter http: // or https: // before the address.
9. Finally, click Save Change your New Tab page in Chrome.
